These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Yomiru. By creating an account or otherwise accessing the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Yomiru

Yomiru is a content discovery, tracking, and aggregation platform for anime, donghua, and related media. We display metadata sourced from public databases (such as AniList) and embed video content hosted by independent third-party providers. Yomiru does not host, store, or encode any of the video files played through the embedded players.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may use Yomiru only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You agree to notify us at security@yomiru.buzz if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including for harassment, fraud, abuse of moderation tools, or repeated copyright complaints.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Yomiru to:

  • Violate any law or third-party right (including copyright);
  • Post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or sexually explicit outside opt-in adult contexts;
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • Probe the security of the service or interfere with its integrity or performance;
  • Use automated scrapers or bots that exceed the volume a human user could reasonably produce.

5. User content

You retain ownership of the comments, reviews, custom lists, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Yomiru a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it within the service for the purpose of operating and improving Yomiru.

6. Third-party content

Yomiru embeds players from independent providers and links out to third-party services. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, websites, or services.

7. Copyright

If you believe content displayed on Yomiru infringes your copyright, please follow the process described on our DMCA page. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.

8. Premium features

Yomiru is free to use. Optional premium features may be offered in the future under separate paid terms. Any such terms will be disclosed at the point of purchase.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yomiru will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to USD 50 or the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access for material or repeated breach of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-product notification and by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
